A Community Food Drive, Rooted in Bucks County

Bucks County Herald · November 20, 2025

“Our industry revolves around food — creating it, celebrating it, and sharing it.” — Melissa Wieczorek

The Bucks County Herald covered a community food drive that Zest Culinary Services helped organize alongside local culinary partners Bake Ability, Lula, and Servis Events — a collaboration to bring fresh, nutritious food to neighbors in need through the Bucks County Housing Group and Philabundance’s Healthy Pantry Initiative.

Through mid-December, community members could drop off donations at participating locations around the county, including Zest’s own home at the Point Pleasant Fire Company. The effort focused on nutrient-rich staples — whole grains, canned beans, low-sodium soups, nut butters, and similar wholesome basics — the kind of food that makes a real difference for a family relying on a local pantry.

For a business whose whole life is food, lending it to a cause like this is a natural fit. It’s also of a piece with how Zest has always worked in Bucks County: rooted in the community, shoulder to shoulder with other local businesses, and invested in the place it has cooked for over two decades.
