Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Canoodling Cooks, LLC, doing business as Zest Culinary Services (“Zest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit zestchefs.com or use our services. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out an inquiry or application form, sign up for our email list, or contact us directly, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, and details about what you’re looking for — for example, the type of service, event date, household size, or dietary needs. Form submissions on our website are handled with Fluent Forms and are kept and used internally to respond to you.

Payment information. Payments for our services are processed by Quickbooks, a third-party payment processor. When you pay by card, your payment details are provided directly to Quickbooks and handled under Quickbooks’ own privacy policy — we do not collect or store your full card number. Payments made by check are handled directly with us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect some information automatically when you visit, using Google Analytics (GA4). This may include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and how you interact with it. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and applications and provide our services;
  • process payments;
  • send marketing emails to people who have signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • understand how our website is used so we can improve it; and
  • keep our business and website secure and comply with our legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed to do so — currently Square (payment processing), Mailchimp (marketing email), and Google (website analytics). These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
  • Business transfers — if our business is ever sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, primarily through Google Analytics, to understand site traffic and usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels.

Email choices

If you receive marketing emails from us through Mailchimp, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us. We may still send you non-marketing messages related to a service or inquiry you’ve started with us.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here — to respond to you, provide our services, meet legal or tax obligations, and maintain our records — after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request access to or deletion of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our website may link to third-party sites (for example, press articles or partner businesses). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
